JOB FUNCTION:
This role involves facilitating the inbound and outbound movement of goods and materials in a fast-paced, global operations environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing shipments, handling receipts of incoming goods, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Job Duties
- Accurately, ship orders to global destinations, ensuring timely dispatch and proper documentation.
- Coordinate with international and domestic freight carriers to ensure shipments are made on time and in full compliance with regulations.
- Generate shipping labels, invoices, and customs documentation for international shipments.
- Ensure all tracking numbers, shipping methods, and delivery dates are accurately maintained and updated in the system.
- Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure the efficient movement of goods.
- Communicate with the teams to resolve shipping issues in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing shipment inquiries or concerns from international clients or freight companies.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must be Certified to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and familiarity with safe handling procedures.
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to wrap skids (bend, twist, stoop, etc.)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Post-secondary education or certifications in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management is an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics role, preferably in a global or multi-site organization.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP software, or inventory tracking tools is highly desirable.
Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.
Local Pay Range
$20—$25 CAD
