CONMED is seeking a Territory Representative/Clinical Sales Specialist to add to our highly talented General Surgery sales force! Key Responsibilities
- Provide detailed product information about products to current and potential customers to help drive revenue and unit growth objectives assigned by company on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
- Work with the Territory Managers to develop and implement sales strategies by determining the relevant factors (e.g., product, competition and pricing needs) of existing and potential accounts to effectively promote the company's products to appropriate hospital personnel and physicians.
- With the help of the marketing team, develop innovative programs specific to the regional customer base to drive positive and sustainable growth.
- Determine the needs (e.g., product and pricing), goals, product usage, and types of cases handled by specific customers by meeting with and asking in-depth questions of physicians and other hospital personnel to learn which CONMED products can best address their specific needs.
- Observe actual procedures in the operating room of hospital accounts to gain insight into the specific nuances of each physician and each member of the OR staff.
- Identify new sales leads for products and in conjunction with Territory and Regional Business Managers, develop a plan to provide customer solutions.
- Respond to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g. Territory Managers, Marketing, Regional Business Manager) to develop optimal solutions.
- Provide timely and accurate answers to customer inquiries and questions on products, product features, and product functionalities.
- Develop relationships with hospital personnel (e.g. through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within hospital and to identify key purchasing decision makers in order to facilitate future sales.
- Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms to secure purchasing commitments, often with the help of incentive programs and services made available to the account being developed.
- Effectively manage evaluation, loaner, and sales sample inventory and return products in a timely manner and according to company policy.
Minimum Qualifications
- High level of energy, motivation, drive, persistence, initiative, commitment and professionalism.
- Excellent time management and prioritizing abilities.
- 2+ years of prior consistent quota achievement/top performance in sales or 2+ years of prior clinical work experience (ie. RN, LPN or other HCP). Operating Room and/or GI suite experience preferred.
- Competitive and focused on achieving goals.
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university.
