We are currently seeking a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant, Litigation in our Vancouver office. The ideal candidate is a proactive and organized individual, who possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Organize, save and manage both physical and electronic files to ensure efficient document handling
- Coordinate and schedule court dates, mediations, discoveries, and other legal proceedings
- Draft correspondence and court documents
- Communicate professionally with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders as needed
- Handle the opening and closing of client files, ensuring proper record-keeping and compliance with procedures
- Prepare client invoicing and follow-up with AR
- Oversee lawyers' calendars, including managing deadlines, appointments, meetings, and the bring-forward system
- Photocopy, scan, and perform other administrative tasks as needed
Ideal Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal program
- 2+ years’ experience working in a support role in litigation
- Strong organizational abilities with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to efficiently manage a high volume of tasks while maintaining accuracy
- Client-focused, providing exceptional service and support
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Demonstrates a professional attitude with a mature and calm approach to managing tasks and overcoming challenges
- Knowledge of Elite and Worldox an asset
- Must be able to work well under pressure and prioritize to meet deadlines.
Salary:
The salary range for this position is $55,000- $70,000 annually; the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal and market equity.
