The ideal candidate will plan and optimize truck routes within the city and Montreal area, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries while complying with local traffic regulations and safety standards. This crucial role supports our goal of providing excellent customer service while minimizing costs and environmental impact.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in urban logistics or city-based truck route planning in ON, QC
Knowledge of sustainability practices in logistics.
Knowledge of trucking software and load board (LOAD LINK, DAT)
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in truck planning, logistics, or transportation management with load booking
Strong understanding of road infrastructure, and city-specific regulations related to truck deliveries.
Proficiency with route planning and fleet management software (e.g., transplus, DAT, Loadlink).
Ability to handle complex scheduling and routing problems with creative, effective solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with customer drivers, colleagues, and management.
Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
