We are looking for AZ, BZ, CZ or DZ box truck drivers with at least 3 years experience to run local routes in the Greater Toronto Area, delivering dry and refrigerated goods.
Warehouse Driver Requirements:
- 3+ Years Possessing a Valid Canadian AZ, BZ, CZ or DZ Commercial Driver’s License in Ontario
- 3+ Years Recent (Within the Last 5 Years) Delivery Driving Experience in Box Trucks at Least 26’ in Length. Some of This Experience Must Include:
- Driving in the Greater Toronto Area Within the Past Year and Within Ontario in the Last Five Years
- Middle Mile Deliveries (e.g. Warehouse to Fulfillment Center) in the Greater Toronto Area
- 25+ Years of Age
- Clean Background Check, Drug Screen and Motor Vehicle Record
- Willing/Able to Work Flexible Hours on Both Weekdays and Weekends
Working Conditions: Due to the nature of the position with daily inspections of the vehicle, this job requires physical work including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, and various tasks that may require lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing a ladder.

Our client is leading the way in autonomous middle-mile delivery that addresses true pain points for the retail industry. In joining their team, you'll operate trucks equipped with sensors that aid in the development of their technology and play a role in driving the trucking and transportation industry into the future.
As a Warehouse Driver, you will:
- Safely operate 26ft (or longer) box trucks along local GTA routes for on-time deliveries to retail customers. (NOTE: the vehicles are currently being driven in manual mode with the aim of moving toward autonomous operations.)
- Support customers and teams by acting as an ambassador for the company and being a versatile team member who communicates effectively on Slack, tracks and reviews job-related data, and performs ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Take care of your assigned state-of-the art vehicle by keeping it clean, performing daily safety checks (e.g., monitoring fluid levels, checking tire pressure and hose connections), and notifying the team for repair as needed.
- Complete route testing by collaborating with software/hardware engineers and operations team members regarding collection/drop-off processes and procedures.
- Provide vehicle performance feedback to the operations and engineering teams.

- (3) 12 Hour Shifts and (1) 6-8 Hour Shift

- Most recent experience must have been in the GTA within the last year, with remainder of experience within Ontario in the last five years
- Experience must include middle mile deliveries (e.g. warehouse to fulfillment center) in the GTA
- 25+ years old with a clean background check, drug screen and Motor Vehicle Record check
- Willing and able to work flexible hours on both weekdays and weekends
- Customer relationship management experience with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized and proactive, possessing solid mechanical aptitude/basic mechanical skills
- Basic computer skills including the ability to learn and successfully use applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years middle-mile box truck delivery experience in the GTA
- Experience driving box trucks up to 35’ in length
- Previous relevant experience in automotive technology/engineering roles or as an automotive technician
Commitment: This is a full-time contract position staffed via HireArt and based in Toronto, ON. Note that 40 hours per week may be possible, but we cannot guarantee more than 36 hours per week. Hours will be worked in 12 hour shifts (starting as early as 3a.m.), 3 days per week and candidates must be open to working weekends. Compensation is hourly and paid training is provided. An offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of the initial training.
