Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a busy dental office environment. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk and maintaining positive patient experiences.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
- Handle incoming calls, answer inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain patient records using electronic medical records systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process patient information, including insurance verification and billing inquiries.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
- Familiarity with dental terminology to effectively communicate with patients regarding their treatment plans.
Skills
- Proficiency in using dental office management software such as Abeldent or similar systems.
- Experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and organization.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is a plus.
- Ability to operate phone systems and manage multiple lines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff professionally.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
