Key Responsibilities
Culinary Innovation & Leadership
- Menu Development: Conceptualize and implement innovative, on-trend, and globally inspired menus that reflect Moxies’ brand goals and resonate with a diverse clientele.
- Recipe Engineering: Lead the building and testing of recipes, ensuring optimal flavor, presentation, and operational excellence while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Brand Representation: Serve as the culinary brand ambassador by representing Moxies at industry events, media engagements, and professional organizations.
- Collaboration with Beverage Teams: Partner closely with beverage department to curate exceptional food and drink pairings, ensuring an elevated dining experience.
- Ingredient Sourcing: Build and maintain relationships with premium suppliers and work closely with our internal purchasing team.
Operations Management
- Operational Excellence: Work with culinary operations across all locations, ensuring consistent execution of kitchen systems, production processes, and quality standards.
- Financial Management: Develop, monitor, and manage food and labour costs to ensure fiscal discipline while achieving profitability targets.
- Food Safety & Compliance: Leader in food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards, setting benchmarks for excellence across the organization.
- Operational Support: Work with culinary operations to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to Moxies’ operational standards and food quality.
Team Development
- Leadership & Mentorship: Inspire and mentor culinary teams at all levels, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Training Programs: Work closely with our L&D team on training initiatives that enhance skills, productivity, and alignment with brand standards.
- Talent Development: Identify high-potential team members and create professional growth opportunities, cultivating a pipeline of future culinary leaders.
- Conflict Resolution: Act as a trusted mediator and advisor, resolving team conflicts effectively to maintain a harmonious work environment.
Strategic Planning & Growth
- Campaigns & Promotions: Partner with executive leadership to conceptualize and launch seasonal campaigns, special menus, and promotions that drive guest engagement.
- Market Analysis: Stay ahead of culinary trends by analyzing market data, guest preferences, and competitor insights to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Systems Optimization: Evaluate and implement new systems and processes that improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance guest satisfaction.
- New Restaurant Launches: Provide culinary oversight for new restaurant openings, ensuring seamless integration of brand standards and operational excellence.
Key Qualifications
- Culinary Expertise: Proven track record of managing culinary operations for multi-unit restaurants with diverse culinary offerings.
