We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join PCI Developments. We are looking for someone who has some experience in accounts payables, accounts receivables, and has some office workplace experience. Primary Purpose:
The Junior Accountant at PCI Developments will work with a diverse portfolio of mixed-use, retail, office, residential (strata & rental), and industrial properties at various stages of development. Having some experience in accounts payables and working in an office setting will set this person up for success in this role. The Junior Accountant will work closely with the Project Accounting and Corporate Accounting teams.

Specific Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Support full-cycle accounting for various corporate entities and projects entities, including processing accounts payable, preparing monthly close journal entries, preparing invoices, and pre-paring bank reconciliations;
- Prepare and support preparation of monthly financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements and GST reasonability calculations, for various corporate and project entities;
- Collect and provide invoices and other information for auditors;
- Manage accounts payable email and respond to inquiries in a timely manner;
- Process invoices and ensure the accuracy of coding, allocation and approvals;
- Prepare and process cheque requisitions;
- Process employee expense claims and credit card entries;
- Maintain vendor profile and EFT vendor information;
- Process monthly ACH/EFT and cheque payments and deposits;
- Prepare invoices.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform ad hoc tasks to support Corporate Controller and Project Accounting Managers as needed;
- Provide filing and other administrative support as needed.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, an individual must be committed to developing, maintaining, and demonstrating the following:
Education and experience:
- Degree in a related field, with a preference for commerce or accounting-related major.
- Interest in obtaining or working towards a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation.
- Minimum one to two (1-2) years of real estate development accounting experience is an asset.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word).

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
