We are currently seeking a Sales Assistant to join our Vancouver office. This is a full-time, on-site position with working hours from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Mandarin and skilled at providing excellent customer service to our diverse clientele, including Chinese-speaking clients. This role involves supporting Senior Management and Investment Advisors with professional, efficient administrative management of client accounts, in line with the firm’s policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to Investment Advisors, including processing client transactions based on instructions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, addressing inquiries regarding accounts, products, and services.
- Assist with the organization of the advisor's daily schedule and activities.
- Manage administrative tasks such as account openings, document preparation, and data entry with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Monitor daily account activity and handle administrative details to support the advisor’s workflow.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards by reviewing and completing forms, transaction corrections, cheque requisitions, and account transfers.
- Execute buy and sell transactions for clients under the advisor’s direction.
- Contribute to identifying operational risks and recommending process improvements.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is essential to support Chinese-speaking clients effectively.
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course is an asset.
- Previous experience in the financial services or brokerage industry is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) is required; experience with Dataphile is an asset.
Compensation
Salary and benefits are competitive within the industry and will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
