Your Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Administrator to join our growing Program and Construction Management team. Working under a Senior Contract Administrator, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and administering construction contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and mitigating risks. This position requires a hybrid work model with a minimum of 3-4 days in-office per week or on-site presence at client locations for multi-year major infrastructure projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze construction contracts (subcontracts, purchase orders, etc.) for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Prepare and issue contract documents, including amendments, change orders, and notices.
- Track contract performance, monitor milestones, and identify potential issues or delays.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive contract files and records.
- Support negotiation and resolution of contract disputes and claims with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provide administrative support to project managers and other stakeholders on contract-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of contract management processes and procedures.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and contract management software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and claim analysis is considered an asset.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Education and Experience
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in construction contract administration, with a strong understanding of construction contracts and subcontracts.
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in Construction Management, Engineering, Law, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM).

Salary Range(s):
- Lower Mainland $60,200 - Lower Mainland $84,300 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
