CONSTRUCTION TRAILER DRIVER / LABOURER
Fifty years in business, exterior renovation company, Avenue Road Roofing is looking to hire construction drivers for Spring 2025
Schedule: Monday to Friday. Start time 7:00 AM working from the shop (Dufferin/ Eglinton). Seasonal work. Overtime paid after 44 hours. All work is in the GTA.
Responsibilities
- Driving company pickup truck with trailer, to and from job sites in the GTA
- Working long work days in the roofing season ( March to December)
- Heavy labour work involved with loading / unloading / job clean up
Qualifications
- Applicants must have experience with pick up truck driving and pulling a trailer.
- Experience with pulling a 10 by 6 construction box trailer.
- Must be competent with navigating city streets with the trailer. Also experience with backing up trailer into tight spots.
- Drivers must have a valid G license with a good driver's abstract
- Must have good general knowledge of the city
- Must provide Criminal Background check
- Capable of heavy lifting with the loading of trailers, construction debris disposal.
- Physically fit to easily carry 50 + pounds plus
- Must have a work resume and be able to provide job related references.
- Must be able to converse in easily understood English
