Description of the Position:
With a focus on enabling best-in-class donor experience, the Associate, Stewardship and Donor Relations has a unique opportunity to impact donor relationships at SickKids. Reporting to the Manager of Stewardship and Donor Relations, the Associate will be responsible for the development and implementation of a variety of donor-centered initiatives to support fundraising efforts across the Foundation. In addition, this role involves close collaboration with internal fundraising and support teams, key hospital contacts, and external partners to ensure these initiatives are successfully planned and implemented.

Required Skills
You will:
- Manage and execute stewardship strategies and initiatives for donors at all levels;
- Lead a major project within the SDR portfolio, including: Assist in creating a project plan, support management and execution all aspects of the plan; create report to highlight successes and/or challenges;
- Support in the planning and execution of stewardship activities for a subset of donors and gifts,
- Support Manager, SDR on the delivery and tracking of donor communications, including impact and endowment reports;
- Support the organization’s recognition initiatives as they relate to the Campaign;
- Support on annual donor recognition, reporting and listings;
- Contribute to ongoing SDR initiatives and identify innovative opportunities to ensure we provide a “best in class" donor experience;
- Develop close working relationships with colleagues across the foundation to enable various projects and provide guidance and assistance to fundraising teams;
- Liaise with appropriate hospital staff to enable SDR program implementation;
- Assist in the management of any intern/summer students;
- Commit to ongoing professional development through reading current literature, attending professional meetings, participating in professional associations and developing working relationships with professionals at other institutions;
- Be an effective team player and adhere to the Foundation values and policies.

- A university degree or community college diploma in a related field;
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in fundraising, preferably in stewardship, or client service-related role (can include a combination of work and practical school experience);
- Demonstrates project management and problem solving skills, with strong attention to details and a proactive approach to anticipating and managing multiple evolving priorities;
- Demonstrated experience working within a CRM database system;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas to diverse audiences;
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Excel;
- Excellent donor and stakeholder relations skills, with a strong sense of diplomacy;
- Experience with data extraction through queries and reporting functions; high attention to detail;
- Understanding of best practice in donor stewardship and recognition;
- The ability to think strategically about the hospital and foundation priorities, to align efforts and achieve shared goals.

Total Compensation Package:
Hiring Salary Range: $69,362 – $81,602; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $97,923. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Associate, Stewardship & Donor Relations.
