Seven Continents is looking for a skilled, organized, and safety-conscious Millworker/Cabinet Maker to join our team. In this role, the millworker will use wood shop machinery (table saws, bandsaws, miter saws, planers, joiners, etc) and small tools to reshape raw materials (plywood, MDF, particle board, plastic laminate and solid wood) according to shop drawings. You will also apply laminate to materials. Our shop produces retail store fixtures, cabinetry and furniture.
Located near 401/Keele, we are accessible by car with ample parking or by TTC (nearest station is Wilson subway station).
Regular hours are 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday. Occasional overtime required.
Skills
- * must have experience applying laminate and working with laminated materials.*
- be able to operate machinery to cut and fabricate and assemble wood items according to specifications
- inspect raw materials and report issues with the quality to their supervisor
- maintain a clean and safe working area to accomplish tasks
- assist in setting up mill equipment and work procedures and report any issues observed while performing these operations
- be able to work overtime as required to meet project deadlines
Experience
- 2 years working with laminate and laminated materials
