The Korczak Lab is seeking a Clinical Research Project Assistant (CRPA). Research in the lab is focused on child and adolescent depression and suicide prevention, and our studies examine ways to better understand and treat children with these mental health problems (https://www.korczaklab.com/). The CRPA will work with the Clinical Research Coordinators, Manager and the Principal Investigator to assist in various studies.
Here's What You'll Do
- Obtain informed consent from study participants, as needed
- Perform research interviews with patients and caregivers as required by the study protocol
- Contact participants to follow up on research materials, confirm appointments
- Perform research interviews with patients and caregivers as required by the study protocol
- Administer research tasks
- Perform/assist with data collection, data entry on REDCap, database maintenance and cleaning
- Read and have knowledge of protocol and study measures
- Follow standardized operating procedures, and regulations and policies governing clinical research
Here's What You'll Need
- Post-secondary degree in psychology or related discipline, graduate degree preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in clinical research, experience and interest in working with youth with mental health conditions preferred
- Experience with interviewer-administered mental health measures preferred
- Tri-Council Policy Statement (TCPS 2) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification is an asset
- Strong computer skills, familiarity with REDCap is an asset
- Ability to work independently yet collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to keep an organized and reliable schedule
