The Department of Critical Care Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Project Assistant 1.0 fte to work closely with the clinical research coordinators, Project manager and/or P.I. to assist in study operations. This position includes many of the basic tasks of the clinical research process, such as entering data, maintaining of documents etc.
Here's What You Will Do
- Work collaboratively with research team members.
- Assists in the preparation of Research Ethics Board applications.
- Maintenance of regulatory documents including the development and upkeep of study binders (electronic/paper).
- Assists Project Manager with regulatory requirements (obtaining signatures, maintaining study trackers, collecting CVs, Medical Licenses & Training documents, organizing meetings, booking rooms).
- Assist with advance preparation for audits and site visits.
- Check data for accuracy and completeness; score data; enter data, including data re-entry; data cleaning
- Provide support to other research team members, where necessary.
- Assist with site training for site coordinators.
- Develop other study documents as required.
- Participate in study-related meetings
Here's What You'll Need
- A Bachelor degree in Sciences or a health related discipline.
- Clinical research experience minimum 1 year
- Excellent problem-solving, time management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated relevant knowledge of research regulations and guidelines (such as ICH/GCP Guidelines, Tri-Council Policy, Declaration of Helsinki, Health Canada and others).
- Proficient in MS Office Software.
- A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion.
Employment Type
- 1.0 FTE, 1 year contract, with possibility of renewal.
