POSITION FUNCTION
The Patient Engagement Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing recruitment initiatives to successfully meet targeted enrollment goals for study protocols and enroll appropriate subjects. The Patient Engagement Coordinator will demonstrate a strong knowledge of protocols including inclusion/exclusion criteria and be familiar with the medications and medical diseases that coincide with research conducted at Centricity Research
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with clinical operations team on designing enrollment and retention initiatives and contingency plans to optimize patient enrollment
- Learn and maintain knowledge regarding clinical research studies including inclusion and exclusion criteria for multiple studies
- Evaluate eligibility of potential subjects through screening interviews and medical record reviews
- Obtain and maintain accurate documentation of patient information in clinical trial management system
- Review, call and update sponsor patient portals as needed
- Schedule and reschedule Prescreen and Screen visits
- Identify suitable candidates for studies based on knowledge of recruiting sites and upcoming studies
- Conduct database query reviews and outbound calls to assess study interest
- Provide study metrics and ongoing feedback on recruitment outcomes
- Links and manages leads from social media ads, web leads, physician referrals, refer-a-friend, and any other incoming form of leads, patient information data entry for recruitment and enrollment
- Ensure accurate and timely responses to interested patients via phone calls, emails and texts
- Participate in community engagement activities and health initiatives to promote Centricity Research and outreach
- Deliver high-level customer service and maintain teamwork
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned related to patient recruitment and enrollment.
Education/Experience
Minimum:
- Post-secondary scientific diploma/certification or 2 years minimum experience working in a healthcare setting
Preferred:
- Experience in sales and/or patient recruitment
