We’re looking for a Press Feeder for our North York location who will assist with the operation of our Heidelberg press to produce print products for our valued clients. This position will work Continental shifts 3 12-hour days on rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a feeder on a Heidelberg press and assist by filling fountains and putting on plates
- Piling full size sheets of different weights of paper when required
- Understand and read a working docket / check on stock type and weight
- Perform regular and preventive maintenance and keep work area clean, ensuring to follow ISO procedures
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, monitoring of consumables
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or higher
- Experience working as a Press Feeder in a similar environment is an asset
- Basic knowledge of measurements and hand tools
- Strong communication skills with a teamwork-oriented mindset
- Ability to conduct regular maintenance on equipment
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
- Must be willing and have availability to work overtime as business needs dictate
