Social Media Coordinator (12-Month Contract/Part-Time)
Corbel Commercial is a boutique commercial real estate brokerage based in Vancouver, BC. Our firm specializes in the leasing and sales of retail, office and industrial properties in some of Vancouver’s most unique neighbourhoods.
Our team is seeking a talented Social Media Coordinator to join our marketing team on a contract part-time basis. Working closely with our Senior Marketing Specialist, your primary mission will be to spearhead our digital storytelling efforts, crafting visually stunning content that amplifies brand engagement and awareness. Specifically, you'll take the lead in filming, editing, and curating all content for Corbel Commercial’s social media channels. If you’re looking for additional freelance work or have a great sense of design, a passion for real estate, that would be a plus! This role is vital in shaping Corbel Commercial’s voice across social media and driving engagement that leads to real business results.
Job Overview
- Interpret the monthly marketing calendar to produce video content aligned with our strategic goals and brand guidelines.
- Conceptualize, shoot, edit, and publish videos for Corbel Commercial across social media channels.
- Maintain a cadence of 2-3 posts weekly, with an emphasis on platforms like Instagram, while ensuring presence on other social channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter) as necessary.
- Conduct on-site photo/video shoots using a smartphone and/or DSLR camera.
- Skillfully editing videos, ranging from short to occasionally long-form, to create engaging, relevant, strategic, and brand-aligned content.
- Maintain oversight of ongoing projects and manage the social media content calendar on Asana.
- Brainstorming new content ideas to foster growth and engagement.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, potentially featuring team members in videos, and tenant/shop features. Discover and curate stories with substance about our listings, people, culture, and history.
- Ability to identify emerging trends and create engaging content that aligns with Corbel’s brand and resonates within online communities.
- Create compelling digital ads that drives brand awareness and engagement to our active listings.
- Evaluate social campaign effectiveness and optimize performance.
- Support Marketing Specialist with collateral creation, including videos and stock photography.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- 1+ year(s) of experience in video content creation and editing.
- Ensuring appropriate content format and copy is executed uniquely by each social media channel.
- Thinks outside the box to create unique and engaging content through storytelling that is specific to the brand
- Proficiency in shooting with an iPhone and DSLR camera.
- Skilled in editing software (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro) and in-platform tools (Instagram).
- Strong storytelling abilities with a witty, creative edge.
- Comfortable going to areas including Gastown, Chinatown etc. to take photos/videos
- Excellent communication, project management, and time-management skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience creating and tracking social media ad performance
- Have your own working laptop, phone, and camera
- Able to adapt to constructive criticism/changes on the fly
- Flexibility for occasional evening/weekend events (1-2 times per year).
- You must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Please note this is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
