Position: Program Administrative Assistant
Hours: 21 hours/week with a possibility to increase hours
Start Date: January 2025
End Date: March 31st, 2025 with a possibility for extension.
Established in 1969, REACH is a Community Health Centre with a history of primary care innovation. REACH is dedicated to providing high quality integrated health care in East Vancouver to families and individuals of all ages. We focus on clients with complex social, mental or physical needs. REACH offers a widely respected interdisciplinary approach to care within our Medical Clinic, Dental Clinic, Pharmacy, Urgent & Primary Care Centre (UPCC) and Health Equity & Community Engagement Department (HEED), which include our Multicultural Family Centre and Program Development.
Position Summary
This position will support the Health Equity & Community Engagement Department team with administrative tasks such as writing reports, collecting weekly stats and minutes from facilitators, and support in setting up the online video conference meetings. This role reports to the Program Development and Community Engagement Manager. The program administrative assistant should be able to adapt and be flexible in taking on new tasks.
Responsibilities
- Collect information to write reports for the programs and workshops as per HEED workshops.
- Collect bi-weekly stats from the workshop facilitators and organize the data.
- Organize the minutes from meetings and programs.
- Assist workshop participants with web conferencing set up.
- Take attendance of participants during registration.
- Collaborate with workshop facilitators, and assist with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- One-year related experience in communication or administration an asset.
- Demonstrates flexibility to adapt and a willingness to support team members.
- Able to work collaboratively with other staff and workshop participants.
- Able to identify and adjust work to increase program efficiency.
- Able to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities.
- Must pass a Criminal Records Search for working with vulnerable adults and children.
- Comfortable working with video conferencing equipment and software, and troubleshooting issues in order to help others have a positive experience.
- Excellent with Microsoft Office Suite and Canva.
- Ability to speak a second language is an asset.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Contract
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
