Job Description: Refine your skills by working with one of Canada’s leading manufactures of store fixtures and retail displays. Our clients include both sales agencies and some of the most well-known Canadian retailers.
The purpose of this role is to design and develop displays based on client demands with a high attention to detail. To produce results with strong aesthetics and sound engineering. This role will be responsible for following projects from the initial design stage to production.
Job Responsibilities: Your role will be varied and may include any of the following:
· Understanding the scope of work for a project and illustrating in detail as per client requests using Keyshot and Solidworks as a communication tool for our in-house production team to execute.
· Designing new items alongside members of our sales team as a way to attract new business
· Determining how units will be manufactured ensuring quality, efficiency, speed and material limitations.
· Determining cost effective solutions through appropriate material selection, machining process and fabrication
· Following up on design projects i.e. reviewing samples and executing revisions based on client and staff feedback
· Implementing creative solutions and executing them in a timely manner to keep projects moving along
Job Requirements:
· Undergraduate diploma or degree in industrial design is highly encouraged
Qualifications include:
· Experience in designing and understanding cosmetics displays is an asset
· Previous experience as a manufacturing industry engineer, industrial designer or similar role
· Thorough knowledge of how production lines and other manufacturing processes operate along with fabrication methods
· Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations
· Spatial, mathematics, and communication skills
· High level of proficiency in SolidWorks (CAD Software), Keyshot and Adobe Creative Suite
· Must have strong computer skills
· Competent in reading schematics, floorplans and blueprints
· Knowledge of various materials used in the store fixture industry i.e. metal, wood, acrylic, glass
· Ability to respond quickly to unplanned changes and revisions
· Effective communication and reporting skills for meetings with management to keep them informed of important developments

The Fine Details:
· This is an office based position at our office in Mississauga
· Hours are Monday-Thursday 8-4:30, Fridays until 3:30
· 2 weeks paid vacation to start
· Benefits (medical, dental, extended services) at 90% after 3 months
