We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Digital Media Co-ordinator to join our team at Gardenworks! The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing on the brand’s digital media-based communication strategies - acting as the brand voice and customer support, across all social channels and online communities with the intention of driving traffic and sales in-store and to www.gardenworks.ca
This is a full-time position – Monday to Friday schedule. Salary 55,000 – 60,000 a year
What You’re Responsible For:
- Planning and execution of a results-driven social media strategy.
- Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms.
- Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.
- Attend company events and produce live social media content – occasional travel required
- Ensure brand consistency in marketing and social media messaging including advertising, product development, and brand management.•
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the marketing & promo calendar is kept up to date.
- Monitor social media channels for industry trends.
- Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
- Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
- Provide guidance for our weekly Global TV segments, including scheduling topics & talent, and communicating this to our retail stores
- Execute photo and video shoots that are scheduled on and off-site
Is this you?
- 1-3 years’ experience with B2C social media marketing or content development
- You have passion for digital media, including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, CMS and YouTube with strong content development, copywriting, and copy-editing skills
- Direct experience using social media management tools (specifically Hootsuite)
- Top-notch oral and verbal communication skills
- You are a creative thinker with strong technical skills to successfully grow our online community
- Exceptional time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills with the ability to effectively manage projects and meet deadlines
- Working knowledge using photo editing apps and content creation software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
- Stay up to date with best practices and what makes content successful in today’s social media world
- Personal knowledge and passion for the horticulture industry
