Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the warehouse environment, ensuring that materials are handled, stored, and distributed effectively. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
Duties
- Performs tasks and responsibilities as defined by company policies, procedures and work instructions.
- Stages and prepares shipments using the crown High reach and swing reach inaccordance with the shipping schedule and daily shipping instructions.
- Accurately labels and scans shipments
- Audits the condition of each shipment prior to loading. Ensures trucks are loaded properly and safely and all shipments leave on time with the necessary documentation.
- Sends ASNs (Advance Shipping Notice) to customers with which this procedure applies to.
- Keeps shipping packaging and stock areas organized and neat and manages stock rotation (first in first out).
Requirements
- Valid lift truck driver license in Counterbalance (Crown preferred) and Swing Reach and crown high reach
- Grade 12 High school education or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ related experience
- Able to speak, read and write in English
- Computer skills include use of MRP system (ASN, Scan, Shipment/receipt entry)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
