Description of the Position:
The Associate, Development Operations will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of SickKids Foundation’s philanthropic initiatives and working with the Foundation teams to achieve transformational growth throughout the historic, comprehensive fundraising Campaign for SickKids. Reporting to the Manager, Development Operations, the Associate will provide support for the executive administrative needs of the Vice-Presidents of Philanthropy; Corporate and Community Partnerships; and Campaign. They will also be responsible for driving strategic initiatives that will enhance Development-wide processes.
You will:
- Prepare sensitive and confidential communications, including correspondence, speeches, and presentations
- Provide multi-faceted meeting support, including research, preparing briefings, agendas, presentations, minutes and managing logistics
- Manage executive calendars, anticipating scheduling conflicts and adapting to changes with minimal disruption
- Managing requests and interactions with Research/BIIT, Stewardship and Donor Relations, Legal, and Writing to ensure projects, deliverables, and timelines are upheld for donor activities
- Research and develop briefing notes for Campaign Cabinet members and Vice Presidents, engaging with internal and external stakeholders
- In collaboration with Research Services and the Development team, track donor moves management progress, analyze current and future pipelines to challenge feasibility of portfolios while ensuring accuracy within the database
- Monitor team activities, provide updates on call activity, new proposals, and confirmed gifts
- Project manage the development and oversight of the master Development calendar
- Analyze yearly and quarterly activities for better planning and resource allocation
- Lead the annual Business Planning process across Development
- Support data integrity initiatives and streamline Development-wide processes
- Provide data analytics and reporting to the Development team
- Create and manage the DevelopmentHUB as a central resource platform
- Oversee the Development Team onboarding program and professional development calendar
- Provide project management support for the Family Campaign, including planning, launch activities, and engagement strategies
- Develop workback schedules and ensure timelines are met
- Prepare financial reports and insights for Campaign Leadership
Required Skills
Qualifications:

- 3+ years' experience in fundraising, project management, or administration
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Team player and relationship builder
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects under tight timelines
- Strong research and information-gathering skills, with the ability to independently source, analyze, and synthesize data to create comprehensive briefing packages for senior leadership, volunteers, and external stakeholders
- Proactive problem solver and solution oriented
- Proficiency with Blackbaud or donor database management systems will be considered a strong asset
- Advanced skills within Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of corporate, community, leadership, and legacy fundraising practices
- Experience in a comprehensive campaign environment and cross-functional team collaboration

Total Compensation Package:
Hiring Salary Range: $69,362.00 – $81,602.00; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $97,923.00. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Associate, Development Operations.
