**Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical administrative support and be familiar with various medical office software systems.
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule patient appointments and assist with managing the appointment calendar
- Maintain electronic medical records using eClinicalWorks or similar software
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with medical billing, insurance verification, and claims processing
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
- Perform medical receptionist duties such as answering phones, directing calls, and taking messages
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document patient information
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care effectively
**Experience:**
- Proven experience working in a medical or dental office setting
- Familiarity with software systems such as_ InputHealth/Tellus Collaborative Health Record_ for medical offices
- Strong understanding of privacy regulations and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to manage medical records accurately and efficiently
- Previous experience providing medical administrative support is highly desirable
