What is the opportunity?
As a Senior Analyst in the Business Application Support team, you will be responsible for ensuring all BaNCS setups are accurately completed based upon information received from internal IS departments. Familiarity with excel, outlook, and the BaNCS platform are critical. You will also be responsible for supporting your colleagues with new initiatives and project management. This role requires frequent collaboration with several internal operational teams while delivering daily deliverables.
What will you do?
- Ensure processing and client requirements are carried out in the most efficient manner.
- Monitor and analyze the status of team against established standards and take appropriate action as required.
- Daily review of Cases/Task to address and clear all outstanding items (where applicable)
- Deliver quality service to all parties by promptly responding to requests or inquiries relating to client activity/instructions.
- Ensure continuity of operations and service during vacation and absenteeism.
- Ensure all monitoring and notification requirements are in place (End of day task, Daily trackers, and recon, etc.)
- Acts as the expert for the BaNCS platforms in the RBCIS operating models, facilitates the use of data and analysis to support decision making.
- Ongoing review of existing procedures to ensure that risk issues are effectively anticipated and mitigated.
- Responsible for verifying and confirming with various departments (Entitlements, Transaction Management, Account Management, Tax Department) for any discrepancies in set up information.
- Reduce corporate liability by ensuring compliance with all RBC Investor Services policy guidelines and department policy and procedures.
- Minimize E & O due to non-compliance with established procedures or failure to identify/escalate a situation that could potentially cause a processing failure.
- Performs ad hoc request when directed by the manager.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Post secondary education, preferably in Business or Finance
- Strong interpersonal skills and networking abilities with other departments
- Superior communication and presentation skills
- Strong working knowledge of PC applications such as excel, word and outlook.
Nice-to-have
- 1+ year Securities industry experience and knowledge of domestic markets
- Knowledge of funds & alternative investments
- Experience with platforms such as BaNCS
- Securities industry experience and knowledge of transfer agency
- Leadership skills
