Role Overview:
This HR role supports all aspects of Human Resources for our growing company. In this roll-up-your sleeve's function, general responsibilities include:
- Leading communications for HR initiatives and programs
- Acting as a point of contact/resource for employees and managers
- Monitoring and calculating key metrics and for preparing reports to help guide decisions
- Recruiting and onboarding new employees
Key Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining positive employee relations for 70+ employees.
- Coaching leaders and providing advice and guidance to management.
- Managing time and attendance and all related leaves of absence.
- Establishing on-going improvement plans.
- Assisting in drafting key policies and handbooks.
- Supporting the team in employee appreciation/recognition and wellness.
- Assisting the team in maintaining compliance with internal HR policies and practices, as well as legislation as it relates to the HR function (including ESA, Labour Relations Code and Workers Compensation Act).
- Liaising with and supporting the payroll and benefits function.
- Maintaining a safe environment for the team.
Required Skills and Experience:

- Two (2) or more years of HR generalist experience.
- A University degree or diploma in HR or a CPHR designation (or working towards a designation).
- Knowledge of HRIS systems.
- Knowledge of employment law in multiple provinces.
