How you’ll make a difference:
- Handle all aspects of bookkeeping for different businesses, including reconciling bank and credit card statements, filing payroll, and managing GST/PST/WCB filings, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and project ledgers.
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts, making sure everything is accurate and compliant with the rules.
- Respond to CRA inquiries for clients, providing any necessary documents and communicating clearly.
- Help clients through CRA audits by gathering the right information and working with CRA officials.
- Work with the team to make sure client services are delivered on time and correctly.
- Complete tax filings for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts, including T3, T4, and T5 forms.
- Assist with organizing and preparing year-end files for clients.
Who you are:
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role at a CPA firm.
- Working towards your CPA designation is a plus.
- Good understanding of tax compliance and CRA processes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with great attention to detail.
- Familiar with CaseWare, CaseView, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to work independently but knows when to ask for help.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- A team player who contributes expertise and respects leadership.
