In addition to working collaboratively with clients' financial, wealth planning, and tax professionals, NIKA LAW LLP aims to anticipate and mitigate likely issues in estate planning by leveraging its litigation experience. The firm also strives to provide emotional support to clients and provide empathetic guidance as they navigate legal issues and family dynamics. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role in our Etobicoke/Mississauga office for an associate lawyer position. For more seasoned candidates, senior level positions would be considered with an opportunity to lead and coach juniors.

The applicant will be expected to work both as a solicitor and litigator within our practice and deal with estate and incapacity planning, simple and complex trust matters, probate files, executor advisory and power of attorney matters.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a recognized institution
- Good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO)
- Experience and exposure to estates, trusts, wills, power of attorney, capacity matters
- Experience with estate planning, probate applications, trust administration, guardianship applications, and power of attorney work is an asset
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
- Strong negotiation, advocacy, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively to manage a busy caseload with supervision
- Commitment to client-focused service and developing and maintaining positive and effective working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines
