## Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Back of House Team Member to join our dynamic team in the restaurant industry. The ideal candidate will assist in the kitchen and support various back-of-house operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
## Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and storing food items
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as grilling, frying, and baking
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and equipment
- Follow food safety protocols and guidelines to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Support the kitchen team in fulfilling customer orders promptly and accurately
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional customer service
## Experience
- Previous experience in food service or a restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in time management to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of cashiering procedures and basic math skills for handling transactions
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus
- Understanding of food handling regulations and best practices in the food industry
- Experience with upselling techniques to promote additional menu items
