Grando Logistics Toronto Ltd. is currently looking for a logistics coordinator who will be handing ocean import FCL shipments as well as other logistics arrangements. Preference will be given to those with both ocean and air logistics experiences.
Duties include:
- Handle shipping documents
- Prepare documents for sorting and distribution of cargo - i.e., distribute completed arrival notices, e-manifest filing
- Provide quotations and issue invoices to clients and agents
- Monitor shipments closely to meet deadlines and avoid delays
- Facilitate all aspects of cargo importation until goods are successfully delivered to clients
- Follow up with CBSA on issues of inspection and/or examination
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with our clients, vendors, and overseas agents
- Maintain profitability of accounts and identify opportunities of profit increases by negotiating with vendors and agents
- Adhere to established company protocol for documentation and records-keeping
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook, Word, and Excel) is a must
- Previous experience of freight forwarding/logistics - handling FCL or LCL - is a must
- Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a must
- Previous experience in air freight logistics is a plus
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented team player with strong communication skills and customer service skills
- Quick learner; ability to adapt and thrive under pressure
- Must have a high level of organization
- Must have proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
