As the Bilingual Marketing Communications Specialist, you'll be the creative force behind the scenes, orchestrating every facet of our client’s internal and external communications strategy. What you should expect:
- Support the marketing and communications team in the overall marketing efforts of the organization, including but not limited to: Public relations, advertising, partner promotions, school programs, research, thought leadership, blogs, social media outreach, tradeshows, conferences, and events.
- Develop written materials: company quarterly newsletter, bi-annual reports, corporate documents, annual reports, provincial fact sheets, press releases, promotional copy, partner blog posts, white papers, formal presentations, advertising, and marketing materials.
- Coordinate, manage, and execute project tasks for communications campaigns and outreach activities with partners; critical paths, written material, social media, and reporting.
- Handle production and distribution of newsletters, including drafting, sourcing graphics, timely delivery, maintaining database, and developing and disseminating post-delivery reports.
- Administer all database marketing activities:
- o Development of targeted outreach lists
- o Manage mass email or mail distributions
- o Ensuring appropriate data is maintained, spearheading database clean-up efforts, and recommending process changes.
- Research and support the development and execution of program launch events.
- Maintaining inventory of marketing/promotional materials (brochures, business cards, SWAG, etc.) to ensure product availability.
- Coordinate logistics and staffing for tradeshows, conferences, and other events, including liaising with trade show event managers, compiling post-event reports, and maintaining and updating the calendar.
- Supporting speaking opportunities, which may include submitting pitches/presentations ahead of deadlines and following up accordingly.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Known for having strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, along with solid attention to detail.
- The ability to think critically and creatively and generate great ideas.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent consumer public relations writing skills and experience writing material for various channels, including press releases, media pitches, traditional media, website content, promotional and marketing outreach, etc.
- Experience supporting CRM database management, ensuring the accuracy of contacts, inputting new information, and developing mail lists, mail merges, and e-mail blasts.
- Professional, resourceful, and collaborative; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel to conferences, tradeshows, and meetings on an as-needed basis (15%)
- Bilingual French and English is Mandatory
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in a Communications role and excellent Bilingual writing skills
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Journalism, or related degree is a must
- Experience working with third-party suppliers and vendors.
- Working experience and knowledge of public relations and marketing communication practices.
