Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with varying needs, including those with disabilities, dementia, and other health challenges. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively in both home care and nursing home environments.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
Support individuals with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans.
Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events.

Requirements

Previous experience in caregiving, nursing home settings, or home care is preferred.
Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
Ability to administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility needs.
A compassionate approach towards working with persons with disabilities.
Certification or training in relevant fields (e.g., nursing assistant) is advantageous but not mandatory.
