We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Safety Coordinator to join our team and help us maintain our high safety standards.

Job Summary:
The Junior Safety Coordinator will assist in ensuring a safe working environment across all roofing job sites. This role involves implementing safety protocols, conducting inspections, and promoting a culture of safety among employees. The ideal candidate will be passionate about workplace safety and eager to develop their skills in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
Assist in conducting pre-job safety instructions (PSI) and developing job hazards’ analysis (JHA) and safe work procedures
Conduct regular safety inspections of job sites to identify and address potential hazards.
Support toolbox talks and on-site safety meetings.
Ensure compliance with CSA and other regulatory requirements.
Document and report safety observations, incidents, and corrective actions.
Maintain safety equipment and ensure proper use by team members.
Assist in investigating accidents and near-misses to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
Collaborate with supervisors and project managers to promote safety awareness.
Stay updated on the latest safety regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional safety-related certifications are a plus.
Passion for workplace safety and a willingness to learn.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of roofing or construction safety is preferred but not required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
