Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounting Systems Analyst at Quality Horticulture in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. The Accounting Systems Analyst will be responsible for analyzing systems, managing finance processes, handling journal entries, and ensuring accurate accounting practices. Additionally, the role involves documenting new processes and procedures, identifying business process inefficiencies, and recommending improvements. The Accounting Systems Analyst will also create detailed documentation for all finance-related processes to ensure clarity and consistency, maintain and update process documentation as systems and procedures evolve, and train and support Finance team members in the use of the new system and procedures.

Qualifications

Recognized Accounting Designation: Possession of a recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) with at least 2 years of relevant work experience, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence and continuous learning.

Accounting Expertise: Solid understanding of accounting principles, ensuring accurate and reliable financial management.

Strategic Thinking: Long-term approach and ability to think ahead to provide future-proof solutions, showcasing visionary leadership.

Effective Communication: An open and articulate communicator with strong analysis, presentation, and written communication skills, fostering clear and effective collaboration.

Independent and Collaborative: Capable of working independently and autonomously while contributing effectively as a member of the finance management team, balancing self-reliance with teamwork.

Innovative Leadership: An individual not afraid to bring forth innovative ideas and be considered an enabler who champions best practices to promote organizational effectiveness, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
