What You’ll Do
- Application Management: Efficiently process and review insurance applications to ensure completeness and accuracy, meticulously entering data into the underwriting system.
- Document Administration: Organize and maintain critical policy documents and endorsements, ensuring a well-organized and accessible filing system
- Client and Broker Communication: Professionally respond to inquiries from agents, brokers, and insureds regarding policy status, billing issues, or general information in a timely manner.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate detailed and accurate reports, assisting underwriters in making data-driven decisions
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work cohesively with various departments, and contribute to special underwriting projects as needed, ensuring seamless operations and excellence in customer service
- Continued Professional Development: Engage in ongoing industry education to stay abreast of best practices, underwriting guidelines, and emerging risks
What You’ll Need For Success
- Minimum of 1 year in the insurance industry in a support role or equivalent preferred
- Graduate of College/University Insurance Program preferred
- Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge of industry software an asset (TAM, Policy Works)
- Effective communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team structure
- Ability to self-manage and meet assigned deadlines
