Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The Junior Accountant will assist in various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining financial records: Ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
- Processing invoices and payments: Reviewing, coding, and processing vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
- Reconciliations: Assisting in monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, including bank and credit card statements.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closings: Preparing necessary financial reports, journals, and entries for period-end processes.
- Supporting audits and compliance: Assisting with internal and external audits, ensuring all records meet compliance standards.
- General administrative support: Handling routine accounting tasks, including filing, data entry, and report preparation.
The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Excel) is required. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
