Your Role
Reporting to the Foreman, you will play a key role in our growth strategy. As our HVAC Refrigeration Apprentice, you will have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing system problems with minimal supervision. You will have the ability to learn and apply company methods, practices, procedures and regulatory requirements regarding the installation and maintenance of modern plumbing and hydronics systems. You will be working on hydronic, drainage and domestic water systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Stay up-to-date with all current health and safety practices and procedures
- Abide by and promote a safe system of work for all
- Produce and implement task-specific Method Statements, Tool Box Talks, and Risk Assessments
- Analyze and interpret construction and schematic drawings, technical literature, and equipment specifications
- Update and remit relevant administrative aspects for all projects, in a timely manner
- Constructively analyse, assess and troubleshoot to resolve issues and develop solutions
- Apply your technical, personal and teamwork skills to get the job done, on time, within budget, safely and to a high standard
- Mentor and/or share skills, where appropriate, with your team members to work more effectively
Skills and Qualifications
- No Previous HVAC Experience required, in-house training will be provided from Enersolv
(Good to Have)
- Basic hand tools and methods experience
- Pre-apprentice certification in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems
- Awareness of packaged rooftop AC units, packaged DX AC split and multi-split systems
- Knowledge of the design and application of Mitsubishi, Daikin, LG and Samsung/Trane variable refrigerant flow/volume (VRF/VRV), multi-split system
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift ticket
- Level 1 First Aid
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
