What You'll Be Doing
As an Associate – Private Wealth Client Solutions, you'll report to both the Head of Private Wealth Client Solutions and the Vice-President of Indigenous Solutions. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across CIBC—Private Wealth, Institutional, Commercial Banking, and Trust Services—to create tailored investment solutions for our diverse clientele. A key focus of this role is supporting Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients and institutional investment opportunities within the Private Wealth Client Solutions team, where you will assist in Private Investment Counsel sales activities and initiatives. Additionally, you'll engage with Indigenous clients and communities, acting as a subject matter expert to foster Indigenous investment opportunities. You'll support CIBC Asset Management's (CAM) Indigenous Solutions team in servicing existing Indigenous clients and pursuing new business development across Canada, aligning investment strategies with Indigenous values and traditions.
How You'll Succeed
- Support Private Wealth & Institutional Clients - Provide critical assistance to the Private Wealth Client Solutions team in delivering UHNW and institutional investment opportunities. Collaborate closely with the Private Investment Counsel sales team, preparing marketing presentations and documents that align with business goals. You’ll lead initiatives that drive client engagement and support business development.
- Collaborate on RFPs & Proposals - Partner with the Private Wealth team to prepare proposals for UHNW clients and Indigenous investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with client needs.
- Indigenous Solutions Support - Act as a subject matter expert on Indigenous investment opportunities. Work with CIBC’s divisions to foster engagement with Indigenous clients and communities. Assist the Institutional team in serving existing Indigenous clients and pursuing new business opportunities across Canada, helping align investment strategies with Indigenous values and traditions.
- Strengthen Client Relationships - Cultivate long-term relationships with both UHNW clients and Indigenous communities by delivering consulting expertise that provides exceptional client value.
- Business Development & Representation - Assist the CAM Institutional Team in business development efforts for Indigenous clients. Represent CIBC Asset Management at industry events and Indigenous conferences to build networks, expand UHNW client portfolios, and grow Indigenous assets under management.
- Project Leadership - Lead projects related to both Private Wealth and Indigenous clients. Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and marketing materials while ensuring high-quality execution within deadlines.
Who You Are
- You have a degree/diploma in Business, Finance and/or Economics.
- You’re a certified professional. It’s an asset if you have a CFA. Portfolio Management experience and Business Development leadership is strongly preferred.
- You can demonstrate experience and strong understanding of the social, cultural, and economic contexts of Indigenous communities. Experience working with Indigenous clients or knowledge of Indigenous cultures and reconciliation efforts is an asset.
- You're digitally savvy. You're creative yet process-driven – constantly seeks to innovate and then create a robust process to capture innovations for consistent and repeatable delivery.
- You're fluent in French and English to serve our clients in the community.

You work collaboratively with all of the members of CAM to ensure that our firm can distinguish itself through the provision of distinctive, world-class investor solutions, service, and communication.
