As the Dealer Services Representative, your work represents Shearwater’s brand promise: Powerful, Simple, Reliable. You will join our dynamic Sales and Marketing team, working with our extensive dealer network to support inside sales, retail product support, order entry, and administrative support.
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dealer Services Representative to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the sales operations by managing data, streamlining processes, and facilitating communication between sales, manufacturing, and customer service teams.
Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will have experience working with sales and sales functions with advanced skills in Excel, experience with Shopify, and proficiency in Microsoft 365. This role requires a strong focus on reporting, analytics, and support of wholesale sales processes.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationship Support and Inside Sales: Demonstrate product knowledge and effectively communicate the features and benefits to dealers. Aid the sales team in managing relationships with our dealers, responding to inquiries, and handling administrative tasks related to dealer service.
- Sales Support and Coordination: Act as a liaison between the sales, manufacturing, and customer service departments to ensure timely communication and issue resolution related to orders, production timelines, and customer requests.
- Order Processing and Management: Support the inside sales team in processing orders from wholesale clients, including order entry, tracking, and fulfillment using ERP systems, Shopify, and other sales tools.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis: Generate, analyze, and maintain accurate sales reports to assist in sales forecasting, performance analysis, and goal setting using Business Central and Power Bi. Use advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) to organize and present data for actionable insights.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Must Have:
- 3+ years in a sales, sales operations, or sales support role supporting wholesale B2B sales operations, preferably within a manufacturing or consumer product setting. Recreational consumer goods, preferably with a technical product an asset.
- Proven communication and organizational skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to best serve the customer
- Experience in sales reporting, data analysis, and generating insights to support decision-making.
Important to get the best fit:
- Post Secondary Business, Sales, Data Sciences, or a related field of study.
- Understanding of retail sell through and B2B sell in sales process key performance metrics; manufacturing experience is advantageous.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Bi and Business Central.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros, data visualization). Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools for document management, reporting, and team collaboration.
An Asset:
- Familiarity with regulated industries or government programs is an asset.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and CRM tools.
- Proficiency with Shopify or a similar B2B system
- Experience in the dive industry or related outdoor recreation fields is highly desirable.
