Join Yates and Co's Toronto office as a Design and Operations Coordinator.
Under the mentorship of the Senior Designer you will assist in creating and developing the in house line/brand from inception of ideas to producing garments. You will help by assisting and working cross functionally collaborating with product development, fit, merchandising, colour, sourcing and operations ensuring the team has the most up to date information
Yates and Co. is a small Toronto based Canadian company that sells and distributes Men's and Women's clothing across Canada. We have offices in both Toronto and Vancouver. This is an in person opportunity in our Toronto office.
What will you do?
1. Assist in communication and the development of a Canadian Designed Brand
- Concept board development
- Assist in shopping the trend market
- Seeking design inspiration including materials fashion colour and trade
- Assist in reviewing the sample line
- Communicate by email with overseas factories
- Assisting Designer with putting together the new collection
- Creating packages for factory development
- Working through fittings with designer
- Sample Management: Checking in samples, organizing sample sets (SMS, PPS, TOP), hanging, steaming, pricing, organizing binders, updating calendar and documents
- Reviewing invoices to ensure pricing is accurate
- Reviewing and analyzing reports throughout the season
- Tracking sales into our system
2. Customer Service
-Sample Management - tracking, receiving, pricing, steaming, and showroom set-up
- Showroom organization and maintenance
- Booking and confirming appointments
- Managing call list and updating daily
- Analyze, forecast, track sales using our software systems (AIMS, JOOR, Salespro)
- Responsible for brand updates throughout the season Ex. style adds and drops. Including updating the system (JOOR and AIMS)
- Assist in final buy submissions to the brand. Reviewing pending orders, push orders, tick backs and checking confirmations
- Updating and adding new customers in system (AIMS, JOOR, Salespro)
- Google drive management for all files received and related to the brand
- Joor upload & linesheet assistance and organization
- Process orders in a timely manner and send customers order confirmations
3. Operations
- Manage new season upload in our AIMS/JOOR system
- Manage ongoing in season AIMS/JOOR updates and changes
- Reviewing, submitting and keeping track of credits for all brands
4. Marketing and Communications
-Eblasts - creating a Marketing calendar, creating eblast, pulling customer lists, sending, responding
- Create product related marketing materials such as product knowledge packets
5. Processing Returns Authorization
- Process RAs adhering to company return guidelines
- Ensuring RAs for all brands are processed within 24-48 hours
- Arranging pick ups from customers where necessary
- Log RAs according to brands requirements and looping in Brand Manager when necessary
- Responsible for receiving credits from the brands and ensuring they are accurate
6. Inventory & Repeats
-Manage all stock and inventory - keeping stock list accurate and stock shelves organized
- Maintain the sample and stock room by organizing returned samples
- Responsible for communicating with customers and processing immediate orders (order entry, picking and packing, shipping and receiving).
Must have:
- Bachelor’s or College Education with a Sales, Marketing, Fashion, and/or Business focus
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word
- Able to use Facebook and instagram with ease
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written as well as verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and numeracy
- Able to multitask and stay focused
- A team player that is flexible with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
