Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Dental Receptionist/Team lead to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. This role requires proficiency in handling electronic medical records and familiarity with dental terminology, ensuring that our office runs smoothly and efficiently. Dental experience and great customer service skills a must for this position. ABELDent experience preferred.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in process.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using ABELDent. Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical records systems.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and insurance.
- Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
- Manage office supplies and maintain a clean, organized front desk area.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and data entry.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a front desk role within a dental office is required.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems; experience with ABELDent.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using phone systems and basic office equipment.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
