About the role
As a Coordinator, Corporate Security, you will work under the supervision of the Director, Business Integration and alongside the Advisor, Corporate Security supporting the Corporation’s physical and personnel security management program.
This role can be performed from our Ottawa or Toronto offices, following a hybrid model approach. This is a full-time permanent opportunity.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES required for this role
- Provide coordination and support for all areas of Corporate Security, including the controls under Corporate Security purview (Security Screening, Physical Security, Security in Contracting, Security Event Management and Security Awareness & Training).
- Provide support as needed in the areas of Business Continuity Management and Information Management Security.
- Coordinate the security screening process for all employee and consultant onboards. Collect, manage and track security clearance applications, ensuring all required documentation is submitted and processed efficiently including the coordination of background checks, fingerprinting, and other required investigations in compliance with federal and organizational guidelines.
- Provide a completed screening file, including initial analysis of results to the Advisor, Corporate Security so that a recommendation can be made to the CSO. Communicate status updates to employees/consultants and management throughout the process.
- Assist in the issuance and tracking of site access cards, monitoring of onsite cameras and security logs, and provide other support of physical security activities for both Ottawa and Toronto offices.
- Prepare draft travel briefings for review by the Advisor, Corporate Security.
- Assists in the organization and implementation of the Security Awareness Training program for employees, students and consultants (i.e. ensures training is distributed accordingly, analyzes completion records, finalizes templates, coordinates training sessions, etc.);
- Maintain and update corporate security records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for all personnel screening, security incidents, assessments, reports, etc.
- Create funding requests, coordinate contracting activities and process invoices.
- Acts as the primary back-up on-site resource for Office Services personnel when required.
- Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS you bring
An undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field or an equivalency based on practical experience is an asset.
Minimum of one (1) year of related experience and/or training.
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office tools (O365) such as Excel and Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Cherwell, BOARD and Security Systems, or other relevant systems.

Security Clearance: Eligibility to obtain a Secret-level security clearance
