False Creek Community Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and creative leader to join our childcare team.
The Leader will be responsible for providing quality care for the children aged 5-12 in our licensed before and after school program from 2-6 pm weekdays when a leader is not able to come in. Shifts may also be available between 7:30-9:15am each day. Full day care is also provided during school breaks, including summer holidays.
Priority given to fun and engaged ECEs, ECEAs, or Responsible Adults.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a healthy, safe and stimulating environment
- Plan & implement age-appropriate programming
- Provide guidance to children as a positive role model
- Maintain a professional relationship with parents and families
- Contribute to the overall operation of the program and the Centre
Qualifications:
- Mandatory completion of 20 hours of courses in child development, guidance, health& safety or nutrition.
- Experience working with school-aged children in a group setting
- Familiarity with inclusive practices and licensing regulations
- Must have valid First Aid / CPR
- Subject to Criminal Records Check
- Ability to work in a team and community setting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
