We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring that their needs are met with exceptional customer service and technical expertise. Your ability to communicate effectively with both customers and technicians will be crucial in facilitating a seamless service experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs to customers, ensuring they understand the work being performed.
- Utilize strong sales skills to upsell additional services and products that enhance vehicle performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service orders, and repair history.
- Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper documentation for all financial exchanges.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dealership setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems is essential to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians.
- Proven sales experience with a focus on upselling services or products is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to providing a positive customer experience.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures is important for managing transactions accurately.
- A background in automotive repair or as a mechanic can provide valuable insights into service recommendations.
