As part of the development team, the
QA Specialist will report directly to Development Manager, TouchPoint The incumbent is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, developing and performing test cases to maintain the code’s quality and reliability

Responsibilities
- Work closely with development team to design, develop and execute automated tests, including functional, stress, performance and integration tests etc.
- Develop new test techniques and frameworks to certify builds
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases
- Responsible for reporting QA progress and ensuring the identified issues are raised for prompt actions
- Strive for continuous improvement, drive quality initiatives and challenge established patterns
- Other projects/duties as assigned by the Director of Development or their designates
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with automation testing framework/application – Selenium (preferred) or SmartBear
- Experience with JMeter or similar performance testing tools
- Experience with project management tools/methodologies like Jira, Scrum
- Experience with finding the root cause of defects in a complex environment
- Demonstrated experience utilizing high-quality automation to solve test problems
- Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and/or with other teams
Preferred Qualifications
- DevOps experience is considered an asset (Azure is a plus!)
- Experience with static code analysis tools (SonarQube preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
