Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chiropodist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating foot and lower limb conditions, ensuring optimal patient care and comfort. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient interactions, as well as the ability to work effectively within a medical office environment. The Chiropodist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support for patients with various needs.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes patient assessments, recommending and implementing treatment plans while providing exceptional patient care and therapeutic intervention based on assessments, data, etc.
- Confers with clients about their medical histories and determines what treatments would be helpful, can fine-tune treatment plans to achieve best results for their patients
- Analyze patients care for disorders associated with, but not limited to, disease, infections, injury, routine or diabetic care.
- Diagnose, treat, and recommend options to relieve patient pain and discomfort.
- Has up-to-date knowledge on wound management and care.
- Assess patients for custom orthotics.
- Advise patients on health and lifestyle benefits to aid in their treatment to regain active daily living.
- Consults with other allied health care professionals within the clinic to develop treatment plans for clients.
- Develops strong relationships with patients by understanding needs; successfully impacts patient loyalty and follow-up appointments.
- Is proactive at building a successful Chiropodist business within the clinic where patients are both acquired and retained.
- Maintains treatment, patient records, charts and EMR’s
- Refers clients to other in-house rehab staff when necessary
- Provides patients with at-home recommendations to aid in their treatment.
- Models the Spark & Sound's brand, values, and lifestyle while always maintaining a professional image; sets high standards for self-based upon competency model; builds an effective network within the company, across all clinics, and in local markets.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a licensed Chiropodist under the College of Chiropodists of Ontario with current professional liability insurance.
- Excellent patient service skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy with patients
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Able to work a variety of shifts including days, weekends, and evenings.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of pain management techniques relevant to podiatric care.
- Proficiency in medication administration, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic and Cerner.
- Experience in a medical office setting, demonstrating effective communication skills.
- Ability to perform data collection for patient assessments and treatment outcomes.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in both acute care environments and outpatient settings.
- Strong analytical skills for conducting research and applying findings to improve patient outcomes.

Pay: $52.00-$55.00 per hour
