Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and possess the skills necessary to provide effective therapeutic support. As a Behavioral Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients develop coping strategies, improve their social skills, and enhance their overall well-being. Your expertise in case management, special education, and patient care will be vital in delivering high-quality services to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to evaluate the behavioral and emotional needs of children.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide direct therapy sessions to children, utilizing evidence-based techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Engage in ongoing research to stay updated on best practices in behavioral therapy.
- Participate in case management activities to coordinate care for patients.
- Educate families about behavioral health issues and available resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience working with children in a clinical or educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pediatric care is beneficial.
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis for tracking patient progress.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
