The Verity Women’s Club and The Ivy at Verity hotel is hiring an energetic and outgoing individual for a part-time concierge position. Join our team and experience what being a part of a private women’s club and luxury boutique hotel is all about. Our guests/members look to the concierge as the hub of information. In exchange, we offer a personal touch to their experience. Our ideal candidate must have exceptional customer service skills, be forward thinking and able to solve problems; communicate effectively and be a team player; multi-task and stay organized; maintain a polite and friendly demeanor and of course, have a sense of humor. The ideal candidate is available for 1-2 shifts per week on Weekends, weekdays and holidays. Also be available to train for overnight shifts as coverage for illness and holidays.
Daily Responsibilities
Check guests in & out of hotel
respond to guest inquiries via email or phone
Interacts with guests to provide information and provide assistance in booking tickets, making restaurant reservations or any other booking requests
Run visa, american express, master card and debit payments through chase machine
Close payment batches nightly
Register members for events
Opening and closing duties of the Club
Light cleaning duties
Other tasks as assigned by Management
Requirements
Detail oriented
Excellent communication
Proficient in English, additional languages an asset but not required
Able to problem solve and multi task, while still being understanding and calm
Decision making and prioritizing tasks as required
Professional demeanor
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
Minimum 1 year Hotel Concierge experience
