Salary: The salary range for this position is CAD $25.26/Hr. - CAD $25.26/Hr.
Summary:
Reporting to the Coordinator, Logistics and under the general work direction of the designated Supervisor, the Stores and Laundry Attendant performs a variety of stores duties such as shipping and receiving, filling requisitions, unpacking, checking, storing and distributing supplies/goods and also provides laundry services by performing duties such as collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, weighing, and distributing laundry and/or linens. Stocks shelves and maintains inventory and laundry supplies according to pre-determined levels. Cleans and maintains related equipment and areas and notifies supervisor when maintenance is required.

Education
Grade 12 plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

What We Offer:
1. Receives, inspects, unpacks, counts and checks received goods against purchase orders. Enters information, prints receiving reports and forwards to Accounts Payable.
2. Identifies receiving incorrect and damaged goods and contacts supplier. Obtains returned goods memo from Purchasing and packs damaged goods for return. Completes appropriate documentation.
3. Coordinates distribution function, prioritizing the delivery of good and equipment to end users and ensuring goods are delivered to appropriate destination.
4. Stocks shelves and ensures appropriate stock rotation.
5. Transfers clean linen from clean linen carts to hospital carts according to pre-determined quantities and quotas. Distributes clean linen and laundry to user areas.
6. Collects, sorts and records soiled linen and laundry. Delivers soiled linen & laundry to laundry room.
7. Loads and unloads non-domestic washers and dryers, selects wash cycles, sets temperature and switches machine on and off.
8. Folds and sorts and irons dry laundry. Prints clothing labels and attaches to personal laundry items.
9. Maintains linen and laundry supplies such as mops, tea towels, and clean-up rags for deliver to various areas, by requisitioning supplies, restocking, folding, and packing.
10. Cleans and maintains related equipment and designated areas. Checks machines regularly and notifies supervisor of equipment requiring maintenance.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.
