PwC’s High Net Worth (HNW) practice is a core part of PwC Private, supporting High Net Worth Individuals and some of Canada’s most iconic families with a range of tax and business advisory needs. This cross border role sits within our HNW practice and will be focused on assisting HNW families with cross border tax issues. Specifically, the role will assist in structuring estate planning for families with US citizen family members and also with Canadians having US assets and ties.
Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As a PwC Cross Border Tax Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
- Work closely with other members of the Cross Border Tax team and prepare Canadian personal, trust and corporate returns for our clients with cross border needs. There may also be an opportunity to prepare US person tax returns.
- Contribute technical knowledge in the area of specialism
- Contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart
- Encourage everyone to have a voice and invite opinion from all, including quieter members of the team
- Initiate and lead open conversations with teams, clients and stakeholders to build trust
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
Experience And Skills You'll Use To Solve
- Graduate of relevant undergraduate degree in business, accounting or related field.
- Professional US accounting designation such as the US CPA or Enrolled Agent is considered an asset.
- Mature self-starter who thrives on challenge and possesses the intellectual curiosity and analytical capability to delve beyond the surface of a particular issue.
- Enthusiastic with a desire to learn.
- Effective communicator and enjoy working in a team environment.
- Good organizational skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Flexible in terms of work schedule, as overtime will be required at certain times of year.
